An extension request is an applicant’s (or authorized representative’s) signed, sworn statement attesting that the applicant has a bona fide intention to use the mark in commerce and needs additional time to begin such use of the mark. As with almost any filing with the patent & trademark office, a filing fee per class of services/goods is required.
