A few months ago, we sat down with our clients Mary Ouimette-Kinney and Larry Kinney of the University Heights Arts Association to learn more about their programs and their experience as an arts organization trying to expand their reach within the community, while also protecting their intellectual property interests.
The University Heights Arts Association (UHAA) is a business that generates free art opportunities using under-utilized spaces and recycled or discarded materials.
Now, Ms. Ouimette-Kinney and Mr. Kinney are back at LoTempio Law to show us their latest exhibit, the Art Without Boundaries Program, by Diane Menchetti.
Tell us about your business and program. How did your organization develop?
My name is Diane Menchetti, I am from Buffalo, NY I am trained in Art Therapy, I have a strong belief in the power of Art as a healing modality. When I graduated from University of Buffalo with an MA. Mythesis was on Autism and worked with Autistic children. 
Six years ago, I became Certified in new breakthroughs program, MnemeTherapy™ also known as Art without Boundaries.
This is an exciting ground breaking field aiding the neuroplasty of the brain that allows me to help those with Autism, stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, other disabilities or brain disorders.
As a MnemeTherapist™ there is the possibility to actually help change the connections in the brain while providing an enjoyable experience.
Clients preform several activities and then are guided to paint a beautiful painting that they and their relatives and caregivers are amazed that they could accomplish.
What audiences do you hope to reach with this program?
I continuing to create my own art, oils, acrylics, watercolor, collageand jewelry and paint night workshops. My service area includes: Buffalo and suburbs in WNY, such as, Orchard Park, Hamburg, East Aurora, Amherst, Williamsville and Springville.
