Lu Anne Puett: An Investment Worth Pursuing
The Lady Licensor
For an inventor’s patented product to make it in today’s world of retail sales, product development, and investment, you need a great product, and someone with the ability to brand through trademark and market that product.
Lu Anne Puett knows how to evaluate a product and take it from concept to retail for minimum investment.
Who is Lu Anne?
Lu Anne attended FAU, where she studied corporate management and marketing. She went on to start her own marketing consultant company in 1995. Her goal was to help inventors take their products from the basic stages to retail stores everywhere.
She has introduced products into some of the most popular retail stores such as Target, Walmart, QVC, HSN, Lowes, 7-Eleven, Zappos, and many more.
Her talent knows no bounds. Not only does she speak regularly, teach workshops, but she has authored the book Secure the Deal and Grow Rich. Lu Anne has licensed many different kinds of products, from automotive to health and beauty, and from drive trains to pantyhose.
Lu Anne has worked with companies which manufacture products both domestically and abroad. She knows what it means to efficiently, and effectively, prove concept and begin full scale production.
While marketing and product development can be considered two sides of the same coin, each side requires its own characteristics and talents. Of all the characteristics, Lu Anne’s greatest gift is her ability to evaluate a product while reducing risk to investors.
This risk reduction allows an inventor, or company, to take a product from concept to retail for minimum investment.
However, her greatest passion is helping inventors and entrepreneurs. This passion began in 1992 while she was working with United Way as a Special Events Coordinator. What does a person do with talent and passion?

National Innovation Association (“NIA”)
In 2016, Lu Anne combined her nonprofit experience with her expertise in innovation marketing, and formed the NIA. Her ultimate goal was to help innovators become successful by gathering and making available all of the resources and opportunities needed to succeed.
In short, the mission of the NIA is to inspire innovation in today’s youth. The NIA works to accomplish this by bringing a comprehensive curriculum and training program focused on invention, patenting, and monetizing to the public-school system. Today’s youth are tomorrow’s innovators, and the NIA wants that future generation to have the foundation and confidence they need to become innovators.
The NIA has put together a curriculum which facilitates the training needed for teachers all over the country. This curriculum has been equipped to provide them with what they need to teach children how to use their imaginations in a way that they can identify a problem, create solutions, and monetize those ideas.
The children learn through fun, cutting edge, STEM activities that spark the innovator in every student. Students learn about the patenting system, how to monetize on their idea and entrepreneurship skills, which broadens their opportunities as they go out into the world.
This amazing opportunity has been facilitated by collecting knowledge, content, tools, activities from the largest, brightest and most innovative companies in the world, thus allowing the NIA to create the strongest program possible.

But what about those innovators who are already out of school? They can start working with Lu Anne today.
With Lu Anne’s connections, ideas, expertise, and skill- innovators can step up their game with her help.
The Big Inventor Show
How can an innovator step up her game? A great way is by attending or having a booth at the upcoming NRF Big Show.
