Ask The Patent Attorney: How to protect a new design
Patent attorney Vincent LoTempio answers the questions posted on comments from Ask The Patent Attorney Episode 1 by Chris Norwood.
This is the second edition of Ask the Patent Attorney, but we label it 1.5 because we actually have filmed a few episodes in advance of “Ask the Patent Attorney” and so we had to squeeze this one in as a midway episode. We received a question right away from our friend Chris who wanted to know about filing a patent application as to his trendy new bracelet idea.
Because we really want to receive questions from the public regarding patents, licensing and trademarks etc. we want you to know that as soon as we get questions we will respond. So I’m going to post this one today and our actual second episode on Wednesday.
Were really having fun with our new camera and green screen and were constantly filming new short clips explaining basic concepts in patent and trademark law as well as other spots just for fun. In fact, we filmed the intro episode to Tennis Voytec a young tennis teacher down at the Miller Tennis in Buffalo, New York that I recently met. And the Nate Lewinski and I started our own “Buffalo Bills Second and One” video show that we’ve posted on YouTube after every Bills game.
I think it’s important to have fun doing whatever you do in life and I’m certainly enjoying my time as a video editor and host of the Ask the Patent Attorney show. I hope we can answer some of your questions that you already have in your mind and certainly anything that you post on the comments section below. Always feel free to contact me directly at 1-800-866-0039 it goes directly to my cell phone. I truly look forward to meeting new inventors.
